Building Tipped
avatar john | posted 221 days ago
In the weekend of June 27/28 this new uninhabited building tipped over in Shanghai causing the death of one unfortunately worker. As can be seen on the pictures, the neo-classical inspired building is very well constructed, even most glass windows are intact.

The reason for falling is still under investigation but it seems that a wall separating the river from this 13-story building's foundation failed. Washing away the soil the building stood on.*

Superuse: Instead of taking it apart and redo the whole apartment building, they could also leave the building on its side, on the site, and construct courtyard/patio dwellings into it.
