Capital Reuse

Since the end of September 2007, the demolishing of the Central Station of Rotterdam has started. The building (1957) was designed by architect Sybold van Ravesteyn. Peter Hopman en Margien Reuvekamp of Bureau Lakenvelder made the ode TRAAN LATEN (to shed a tear). The capitals are an anagram of CENTRAAL STATION on the roof of the main station hall. The neon types stay there until the destruction of the hall. Next to TRAAN LATEN, also possible TOT LATER (until later) or LATEN STAAN (leave it). TRAAN LATEN or Shed A Tear, since there is also no further sign of reuse.
