In Wassenaar Kees van der Hoeven – Architect, former chairman of the dutch architects union, initiator of www.architectenwerk.nl and more recent of a knowledgebase for architects in Holland – is builing his studio by pimping an old shipping container. Three facades are ‘clad’ with flowerpots.

ofcourse the flowerpot facades are more ‘refunc’ than superuse because the pots are actually new, but nevertheless showing a clever superuse technique. Very nice is the way how the pots are fixed against the wall. by using the conical shape of a -one screw-fixed pot to keep another upside down in place.

Kees van der Hoeven keeps track of the building process in a basic webfolder where you can see the original wasted shipping container being modified too..
