Most playing cards are either plastic or plastic-coated and, as far I know, cannot be recycled. If you have decks that are missing some cards and/or have cards with bent corners, rendering them non-playable for card games, what can you do with them, beyond building houses of cards? Well, using Nick Sayers as inspiration, you can take 270 cards and construct a lampshade. (Via @Craftzine.com blog. Spotted on Twitter via Rachel Hobson, a.k.a. @avgjanecrafter.)
