Tennis Ball Bench

Rotterdam (NL)

Sit back, relax and enjoy. Dutch designer Tejo Remy and Rene Veenhuizen made these tennis ball bench with material that has been send of court. Placed at Museum Boijmans van Beuningen (Rotterdam) they now play a new game: a visitor’s brake. Whilst seated on the bright yellow, bouncy and unshaved, people could regenerate themselves for a new set of art.

The basic shape is made with a steel frame and covered with old tennis balls. Beauty in the eye of the beholder is one thing, keeping your eye on the ball another. Could both blind you for the rest of the match?
